= INT. KITCHEN
WIDE / STATIC:
Camera on the tripod, entire kitchen in the shot. #MC stands at the counter. To their right, there is empty counter space.

#MC places two mugs on the counter.

#MC puts a tea bag in the first. #MC puts tea bag in the second.

#MC pours hot water into both. Steam rises.

#MC leans against the counter, waiting. #MC looks up towards the window (to revise)

#MC looks back down. #MC picks up a spoon and stirs their cup.

#MC reaches to stir the second cup -- and #MC hand freezes mid-air.

#MC stares at the second cup. The realization hits.

#MC picks up the second cup, walks to the sink, and pours it out.

= INT. LIVING ROOM. DINNER TABLE
MEDIUM / STATIC:
Square table. Lighting: Dim, only stove hood light. Dark shadows. Camera at the eye level. #MC sits on the left. The chair on the RIGHT is empty, pulled out slightly, like somebody just left.

#MC is eating a toast or simple meal. #MC chews mechanically. No enjoyment.

#MC stops chewing. #MC looks at the empty chair.

#MC reaches into their pocket, pulls out their phone.

#MC taps the screen.

PROFILE / LOW ANGLE:

#MC sits on the couch. Lightning: pitch black room. Only the TV screen illuminates #MC's face. Camera low, looking up at the #MC's side profile. The TV is off-screen.

#MC is staring ahead, eyes glossy.

#MC presses the remote. The light on #MC's face changes from blue to white.

#MC presses it again. White to gray.

#MC presses it again. Grey to blue.

#MC isn't watching; they are just changing the colors.

#MC drops the remote onto the cusion besides them. #MC closes their eyes.

= INT. LIVING ROOM. COFFE TABLE
CLOSE UP:

Coffe table. Lightning: minimal. Phone light (diffused if possible) to light props specifically. On the coffe table engagement ring laying, opened. Camera focused on the ring.

#MC hand enters the frame. Picks up the ring.

#MC drops the ring onto the table.

= INT. LIVING ROOM
WIDE:

Camera behind #MC. Camera sees the back of #MC's head/shoulders, and it sees #MC's face reflected faintly in the glass.

#MC is sitting still, looking at their own reflection (or darkness outside).

#MC takes a deep breath in.

#MC exhale slowly. The breath fogs up the glass for a brief second, obscuring the reflection.

The fog fades. #MC reflection returns.

#MC simply blinks.
